Uluwatu Tample

The temple of Uluwatu located on the South Western coast of Bali. Is dedicated to Dewa Rudra and is associated with Nawa Sanga ( The nine manifestations of the supreme divinity ). The temple is perched on a cliff in an enchanting position and is indeed ideally suited to enjoy the setting sun over the vast Indonesian ocean
There are many place in Bali ( especialy in the forest ) where monkeys live, free and undisturbed these hundreds of monkeys are a real attraction the tourist. For the people of Bali instead, these so-called "Monkey Forest" are actually sacred places where a temple can always be found among the trees likewise, each forest has its sacred tree, called pala, and the majestic trunk and wood cannot be touched nor, obviously, used unless natural causes force the tree to fall down. in its own way, faith is making a small contribution to the conservation of the few remaining forests in Bali

  1. Thanks for the tour, Wayan.
The view at Uluwatu temple is magnificent, less the aggressive monkeys though :p That place is definitely one of the must go places in Bali. -Brendan-
